Position: Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor
Location: Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to: General Manager
This is a full time position, Monday thru Friday.
Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of maintaining inventory and warehouse functions as well as many various projects as needed throughout the company. We are looking for an energetic person with a positive “can do” attitude.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of all wine and warehouse goods.
- Wine/Merchandise movement and tracking between winery departments.
- Shipping/Receiving – Daily orders, bi-monthly Wine Club packages..
- Order and maintain shipping/warehouse supplies.
- Assist with set up/breakdown of mobile bottling units.
- Propane tank refilling.
- Glass recycling.
- Cardboard breakdown/bailing for recycling.
- Minor repairs/mechanical issues of machines/vehicles.
- Minor repairs/maintenance for property/quality control.
- Maintain clean/organized facilities.
Work Schedule:
5 days a week, Monday thru Friday.
Requirements:
- Forklift Certified.
- Experience with UPS Worldship.
- Experienced in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Must be positive, creative, professional, personable; work and communicate well with team members.
- Must be self sufficient, highly organized and be able to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to lift up to 90lbs.
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.

Position: Tasting Room Wine Server/ Tour Guide
Location: Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to: Tasting Room & Retail Sales Manager
Position Summary:
In order to provide the best visitor experience possible servers must be happy, friendly, knowledgeable and enjoy working with people. This position requires patience and professionalism at all times and a willingness to be flexible in a busy work environment.
Tasting Room Servers are responsible for all aspects of welcoming, entertaining and serving guests during their visit to the winery tasting room. This includes conducting wine tastings and winery tours, providing product information, promoting sales, assisting guests with purchases and resolving any product or service problems. Servers must be able to convey information accurately, pay attention to details, have good listening and communication skills and work well with others.
This position also requires standing for long periods of time, lifting and daily maintenance of the tasting bar which includes cleaning, stocking, washing glassware, organizing supplies and keeping track of wine inventory.
Requirements:
- Two years experience in hospitality or customer service related fields, retail sales, cashiering and knowledge of the wine industry preferred.
- Must possess a high level of integrity and be able to execute cashiering, cash and inventory handling in an honest manner.
- Must be respectful of customers and coworkers and be able to communicate calmly and clearly in a professional manner. Must be able to and explain products, services and special offers accurately.
- Must be dedicated to the job: able to follow instructions and all company policies, be timely and reliable, motivated and productive, self sufficient and organized.
- Wine knowledge is not required but a genuine interest and desire to learn about wine and the wine industry at work and on your own.
- Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task, meet sales expectations and maintain a positive attitude.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Work Schedule:
Part-time position, weekends and holidays required with additional hours as needed by the winery on weekdays or evenings. Must be 21 years or older. Hourly rate, plus incentives.

Position: Tasting Room Supervisor
Location: Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to: Tasting Room & Retail Sales Manager
Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the tasting room supervisor are to support the manager with the day to day functions of the tasting room and to provide supervision and sales support to the tasting room staff.
The supervisor will assist the manager in training and developing the skills necessary for the tasting room staff to meet performance expectations. The supervisor will assure that customers have an enjoyable experience and assist the servers with sales, customer service, register transactions, wine knowledge and general knowledge about Callaway Winery and Temecula. The supervisor will see that employees adhere to company policies and procedures and take breaks and conduct tours according to the daily schedule. The supervisor will see that the daily duties are completed as assigned and the tasting room and bar areas are cleaned and maintained as expected. Additional duties of this position include opening and closing the tasting room registers, cash handling, tip reporting, monthly wine inventory and some light office work.
Requirements:
- Two years experience in hospitality or customer service related fields with management or supervisory experience required. Retail sales, cashiering and knowledge of the wine industry preferred.
- Must possess a high level of integrity and be able to execute cash and inventory handling in an honest manner.
- Must be respectful of coworkers and be able to communicate in a professional manner. Must be able to and explain policies, procedures, products, services accurately. Must be able to instruct employees, make suggestions, assign duties and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Must be dedicated to the job: able to follow instructions and all company policies, be reliable and available as required by business needs, motivated and productive, self sufficient and organized.
- Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task, help meet departmental sales expectations and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. and stand for long periods of time. Lifting, cleaning, stocking and light office work also required.
Work Schedule:
5 days a week, weekends and holidays included. Evening hours as needed. Must be 21 years or older. Hourly rate, plus incentives.
