The 2015 vintage of our Owner’s Private Reserve is a classic California Cab. 100% of the fruit was hand picked from the Monte de Oro vineyard. This wine is an exceptional, limited-production red blend that showcases the artistry of Callaway Winery. Aged to perfection, this wine delivers a harmonious balance of depth, complexity, and elegance, making it a standout choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike. With its rich structure and refined tannins, this reserve wine is ideal for those who appreciate a bold yet sophisticated red.

Harvested at 24.2 brix, Bordeaux clone #8. One specific Saint Emilion, France yeast was selected for premium quality. Hand picked six barrels for individual expression.

Tasting Profile

On the palate, lush flavors of plum, black currant, and dark chocolate intertwine with subtle notes of vanilla, espresso, and toasted oak. Aged to perfection, this wine features velvety tannins and a lingering, smooth finish that leaves a lasting impression. The big, bountiful palate boasts juicy berries and cassis leading to nuances of smoked prosciutto, dried currents, black tealeaf and licorice.

The 2015 OPR pairs beautifully alongside grilled ribeye steak, braised short ribs, or a rack of lamb with rosemary and garlic.
