With a rich, layered texture and beautifully integrated acidity, this limited-production 2019 Winemaker’s Reserve Roussanne showcases Callaway Winery’s dedication to crafting distinctive, high-quality wines.

Barrel fermentation and sur lee aging. Barrels stirred daily for one week during fermentation. Stirred once a week for one month after fermentation was completed. This is our 8th vintage after grafting and the varietal is showing extremely high quality fruit due to granite soil and hot weather conditions.

Composition: 100% Roussanne
Aging: 8 months in barrel, 8 months in stainless steel.

Tasting Profile

The berries of this variety have a golden hue which is reflected in the wine, with it’s elegant nuances of golden honey, yellow pear, crisp golden delicious apples and fragrant white blossom. The palate is rich, ripe, round and filled with flavors of quince, white fig, yellow plum and rich honeydew melon.
