The 2019 Winemaker’s Reserve Syrah is a bold and expressive wine that showcases the varietal’s signature dark fruit, rich spice, and velvety tannins. Harvested on August 28th with Brix sugar levels of 24.0. Cold soaked in tank for two days at 48°F and fermented for 7 days with temperatures from 70-8 deg;F. Higher temps are essential for extraction of color. A French yeast was used to add complexity, darker fruit characters and spice. Free Run wine is used for all Reserve wines, no pressed wines are used.
